Step One
* Make a post (public, friends locked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
* If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
* Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two
* Surf around your friendslist (or friends friends, or just random journals, or holiday_wishes/ wish_list) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
1. An LJ banner/layout specifically for me. Sam/Gabriel, just Sam, or anything Supernatural really.
2. Any graphics for any of my fics would be absolutely amazing.
3. Paid account here (or Icon space). I've never had one before and can't afford it, especially right now. Even the shortest amount they have would be cool, just to see how it is.
4. Supernatural fic (or vid, even). I'm a Samgirl, so pairings with him. Or Jared. Or just message/comment to me if you want specifics.
5. An e-reader. Or, anything that will allow me to read my PDFs without having to lug my laptop around... (I know, not gonna happen. But I can wish, right?)
6. And, since this is for wishes and not a 'give me this' list, I wish I can go to Disneyland next year. I haven't been in what feels like forever...
7. Animorphs books. I've got a ton, but never got the chance to buy all of them, unfortunately. And now it's harder to find them around... I grew up with them and actually wrote a little performance for my friends to do in class in the 4th grade for it. That's how much they mean to me. lol
8. I was a little iffy about this one, but I really would like to receive Christmas cards. E-cards work just as well. But I never actually get mail for me unless it's something from school or the bank, so it would be awesome to get something different.
9. Give any pets you have a hug or a treat and tell them that you love them. This sounds silly, I know, but I think that we have animals to spoil them and I've seen a lot get treated the opposite of how I think they should. And a pet is always there for you, don't they deserve some lovin' in return?
10. For my family to have a better year than this last one, and for everyone to have a happy holidays and new year! <3<3<3
