It's been awhile since I've read it, too, LOL.

I've had this part written for longer than I care to think about, but it took forever to realize I couldn't write anymore because I liked how this ended. Then my beta's life got really busy so I had to wait to get it back.

But I'm so glad you liked it! Gabriel's little touches to Sam was something I refused to get rid of when I was having trouble with the chapter.

Originally it turned out a lot more angsty with Dean being a jerk, then I realized 'Dude, no more apocalypse. Dean's entitled to freak out but, come on. No more Lucifer!' so I cut back on that. I kept in the part with Gabriel defending Sam, though, because it's one of my favorite parts of the story and I couldn't let it go.

I like to think that Dean didn't realize quite how badly his words would affect Sam which is why Gabriel needed to step in and make him think before he spoke. *nodnod*
